Uniform
We have a simple school uniform in place. We want all children to wear the school uniform in order to feel part of our academy.
Uniform is compulsory, and all pupils are provided with an academy sweatshirt on admission to the academy. Our uniform consists of:
- red sweatshirt or polo shirt – plain or carrying the academy logo
- black trousers or skirt
- sensible flat footwear
Children may wear plain white shirts or polo shirts under their sweatshirts.
Each child receives a free academy sweatshirt when parents return their completed pre-admission forms. Additional sweatshirts can be ordered at www.myschoolstyle.com or www.clothingattesco.com or obtained from any supplier.
Any headscarves worn must be plain, and either red, white or black.
Children must change into appropriate clothing for PE lessons. We recommend black shorts and a white T-shirt.
Please label clothes with your child’s name.
Children are not permitted to wear any jewellery at school.
If children arrive at school not in uniform, parents may be contacted and asked to bring in uniform for their child to wear.
We have a stock of second hand items of uniform. Please speak to a member of staff if you would like to access this. Please also consider donating any used items of uniform, to help replenish our stocks.
PE lessons
Children in Y1 to Y6 need to bring a PE kit to change into when taking part in PE lessons. To ensure your child has their kit for the 2 PE lessons they have in the week, send their kit in on Monday morning and it can stay in school until Friday, and then they can and take it home to be washed.
PE kits MUST be safe for the children to engage in running, jumping and climbing. Here is a safe, smart and suitable kit:

White T- Shirt black shorts or tight leggings. Pumps or trainers Jogging bottoms for colder months
Where children forget their PE kit, the class teachers will send you a polite reminder so that your child is able to engage in the curriculum and not miss vital learning. If your child does not bring a suitable PE kit, this will impact on their learning. We will call you to give you a polite reminder to ensure your child has their PE kit in school ready for their learning.
