Government Announcement 28/5/20 – wider opening of schools
Thank you to parents of children in Years N, R, 1 and 6 who have completed our survey. Although we still have not agreed a final start date for wider opening, we will be contacting parents of Y6 children over the next week to discuss provisional arrangements. Please see the Coronavirus page of this website for details of our steps towards wider opening.
Government Announcement 10/5/20 – wider opening of schools
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a phased return to school, OTCA continues to remain open to key worker and vulnerable children only. We will contact parents with more information when we have it. In the meantime, please continue to Stay Home, Save Lives and Protect the NHS.
During this period of school closure, our office is frequently unstaffed, which means that we may not be able to answer your phone call. The best way to contact school is via email firstname.lastname@example.org
Important message for parents who are Key Workers
We have contacted all parents who we know to be key workers directly. If you believe you are a key worker needing childcare during school closure, and we have not contacted you, please contact school. Thank you.
Government Announcement 18/3/20 – School Closures
The government has announced that all schools must close at the end of the school day on Friday 20th March, for an indefinite period. This is to help slow down the spread of the virus. Although, in limited circumstances, some children may continue to be offered limited emergency childcare in this period, the key message is that schools need to be as empty as possible. The safest place for children is at home. We will be contacting parents of children with Education, Health and Care Plans, children with a designated social worker, and those whose parents have indicated they are critical workers in the nation’s fight against this virus. If we have not contacted you, and you are in one of these categories, please contact the school office between the hours of 11am and 2pm Monday to Friday.
We are developing our contingency plans. Please keep checking this website and Twitter as details emerge.
